Views on procedures for converting lease hold industrial land to free hold in UPSIDC Industrial areas. IIA members might be aware that IIA has been demanding for conversion of industrial land from lease hold to free hold in industrial areas. The Chief Minister of U.P. Shri Raj Nath Singh ji had accepted our demand. However modalities were not finalized and the issue lingered on till date. It is learnt that UPSIDC is now working on finalizing the modalities/procedures for approval in their Board. Informally it is also learnt that they are proposing to convert lease hold to free hold by charging 25% conversion fee on the current market price of the land. Members may kindly note that the Conversion Charges applicable for residential properties of other developmental authorities is 12%.
