Mr. N.K. Kharbanda, Chairman, IIA-NOIDA represented IIA at a meeting held by WASME at WASME House, Noida on 09-06-2010.
Mr. Kharbanda along with Mr. S.S.Walia,Mr. Ashwani Mahendru,Mr. Chanchal Kumar and Mr. Naveen Jain attended the WASME meeting. A delegation from Nigeria was the special attraction at the event.There was a one to one discussion with the Nigerian Delegation to promote MSME industries in both the countries. Nigerian side was represented by Mr.Kinsley Ifeolu Ogungbade,Executive director (Branch Management),NIGERIAN AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT BANK LTD., Mr. Wheed A. Olagunju, GM, Bank of Industry Limited, Ms. E.N. Oputu,MD/CEO Bank of Industry Limited and Dele Adeyemi,Deputy GM,National Economic Reconstruction Fund.
Ms. E.N. Oputu, MD/CEO Bank of Industry Limited was keen to have a delegation from IIA visit her country. She hoped that IIA member entrepreneurs would establish their industry in Nigeria especially those from Food Processing, Metals, IT, Auto Mobile sectors. Ms. Oputu assured all help to IIA in the direction.
The main stress was on transfer of technology between the two countries.
The Nigerian counterparts also expressed their interest in participating in the exhibition to be organized by IIA later this year at Noida. |
