          You might be aware that Govt. Of India is contemplating major changes in Direct taxes. As such have published the Direct tax code Bill 2009. Discussion paper on the DTC is also published.

         The Bill was discussed in CEC Meeting on 29th August 2009 at IIA Corporate Office. Also, Mr Inder Chand Jain, Vice Chairman, Direct Taxes Working Group of IIA made a presentation on the subject in the CEC Meeting.

         You are requested to hold discussions on this important issue in respective Chapters and send your comments / suggestions to IIA Corporate Office.
