Prof. Rajat Aggarwal HOD Management Studies, IIT Roorkee

He gave an overview on Industry 4.0. by stating that MSMEʼs competitiveness is important to ensure competitiveness of the entire supply chain. He also explained that expectation level of all stakeholders is increasing regularly while product development time is shortening continuously. Adopting best practices in Industry 4.0 Era is need of the time. IIT Roorkee can help MSMEs through different mode of engagements for transforming towards 4.0. Product design, Process optimization, Technology Integration. It is proposed to maximize usage of common facilities like data storage, use of open-source software etc. Attention is needed for capacity development in terms of skilled manpower, hardware and software related skills. A framework with better academia involvement is to be in place for reskilling and upskilling of manpower as rate of change of technology is very fast. Solution of integration should be win.

Shri Amit Kumar Joint DGFT spoke of the Opportunities for MSMEs in promotion of Export from UP

Uttar Pradesh has become hub of exports globally. Branding traditional products of UP as One District One Product in 2018, has led its recognition at the global level. He informed about the duty benefits that MSMEs have in exporting products to countries that have Free Trade Agreement with India. He asked the audience to tap the locational advantage of export to Nepal. Diversification of Export Product Basket & Focus on Agro and GI Products were discussed. He spoke of the EPCG scheme, MAI scheme and Export Oriented Undertakings.

He thanked IIA for organizing a Udyami Mahasammelan in the state capital & was glad to see a great crowd of entrepreneurs from across U.P. He stated in his speech that if MSMEs desire to competenationally or internationally they need to adopt to AI,Robotics,IVT,& Skilled manpower.Heal so discussed about the state initiates for MSMEs and asked all present to enroll online in MSME policy portal to know in details of government schemes like PMEGP program, ukhya mantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojna, ODOP, Pledgeschemeand manymore.

Dr. Chandrika Kaushik Director General, DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Government of India

She spoke of activities at DRDO and how MSMEs can participate in the activity & aid in country's defence. DRDO works on 7 technology clusters – missiles and strategic systems, aeronautical systems, electronic computer sciences, combat vehicle engineering, naval systems etc. India is in the exclusive world defence club as it owns it artillery guns which can fire as far as 48 kms & spoke of air independent propulsion system used for submarines & anti satellite tests. Elaborated on the defence ecosystem and DRDO's role in it. Defence RnD leading to production and MSME partnering in the production was discussed along with the establishment of DTCC Lucknow.

Shri Abhilash Mishra, CEO NSE Academy

. He spoke of the functions at the national stock exchange and the working that can assist the MSME in its expansion and day processing. also discussed the financial aspects for transforming MSME towards industry 4.0 and the tie-up between IIA and NSE Academy.

Shri Neeraj Bhalla, AGM SIDBI

Brought awareness about the free loan provision for MSME by SIDBI. 5 Cr loan available without collateral.He also spoke of the importance of helping job seekers to be job creators. SIDBI collaboration with the Government for the benefit of MSMEs were discussed. Also, Anytime Guarantee Concept was elaborated upon which assist entrepreneurs in work expansion.

Shri Amit Mohan Prasad, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME and Export Promotion Department, Uttar Pradesh

He congratulated the MSMEs for their contribution to Indian GDP and highlighted the importance of reaching target contribution of 48% to GDP. He spoke of state governments policy for MSME aid and importance of hand holding the Micro Industry which are still in large volume. He asked entrepreneurs to participate in the Pledge Parks and the policy incentives laid by state. CGTMSE Suvidha – collateral free loans and benefits for women entrepreneurs were also discussed.

Shri M L V S Prakash, SBI, GM NW II

He spoke of the adoption of AI and its importance in industry 4.0. SBI has adopted Artificial Intelligence for its functioning & is helping SBI in controlling frauds globally and across India. Various models have been made with SBI based on he directives of he Govt. of India and the State using AI. Growth of MSMEs, digital loans for MSMEs, PABL were discussed. Also shared that portals have been developed by SBI to calculate the working capital requirement of entrepreneurs.
